Intern for underbelly!
underbelly (www.underbellymag.com) is an online magazine dedicated to the art and magic of poetry revision. Published four times per year, each issue features poems in early and revised forms as well as commentary by each poet describing some aspect of their revision process. A blog and podcast series are under development.
We are looking for an intern to join the underbelly team. This individual will be organized, resourceful, and self-motivated. Primary responsibilities will include research and development of blog entries, as well as creation of a promotional plan with an emphasis on social media. Potential secondary responsibilities include web site design support and podcast production.
Compensation for the internship will take the form of copyediting support from Maya Marshall and/or coaching with Marty McConnell. All work can be completed remotely — being located in Chicago is not required but would result in larger amounts of compensatory snacks. Time commitment is flexible, estimated at a minimum of 8 hours per month.
